Working capital for the day-to-day
Funding for inventory, payroll, slow seasons and the other costs of running a business, repaid from your revenue over a set period. Apply once and compare offers from our funding partners side by side.
What working capital can cover
Working capital is meant for running the business, not a single big purchase. What a partner will fund depends on your business and the specific offer.
Inventory and supplies
Stock up before a busy season or take a bulk discount from a supplier.
Payroll and slow seasons
Cover regular costs while you wait for customer payments or a seasonal pickup.
Repairs and upgrades
Handle repairs, small renovations or other costs that keep the business running.
Is it the right fit?
Working capital works best when the money comes back to you quickly. If the need is a one-time investment, term financing may fit better.
Often a good fit
- The need is short-term and tied to running the business
- Revenue comes in steadily, so frequent payments are manageable
- Timing matters, such as a supplier deal or a seasonal rush
Think twice if
- The money is for a large, one-time purchase that pays off slowly
- Daily or weekly payments would strain your cash flow
- You need to draw again and again; a line of credit may suit better
How the review works
Your application gives our funding partners what they need to evaluate the business. Depending on the partner, the review may include business and owner information, bank statements, credit reports, identity verification, public records and other documents.
Applying doesn't guarantee approval or create a commitment to fund. Calculator results, pre-qualification messages and example terms are estimates until the funding partner approves final closing documents and both sides sign them.
Before you accept an offer
- Confirm the amount your business will actually receive and the total you'll pay back.
- Check the payment amount, how often it's taken, the term and every fee in the written agreement.
- Find the funding partner named in the closing documents.
- Ask your advisor about anything that's unclear before you sign.
Fair Square is not a bank or a lender. Funding comes from the partner you choose, under their written terms, and is for business purposes only. Read the funding disclosures.
